This is another warning about hire cars in Spain.
OK so you now have a car with all the bits needed to be legal to drive on the Spanish roads.
You survive being mugged or having your luggage stolen at the airport and your safely on your way to your destination in your hire car

Something else to watch out for, that can point you out as being a tourist or just the fact your car is a hire car, is some hire company’s remove the plastic wheel trims from the hire cars.
This is because so many get stolen from cars in Spain.
And the last thing you want is to be charged an excess for missing wheel trims when you return the hire car.
But the down side is, so many car hire firms have been or are still doing this, that it give potential thief's an easy indication that the car is a hire car and therefore bound to have items worth stealing in it
For the cost of replacing a stolen wheel trim or having your holiday ruined by having your hire car broken into, I know which option I would rather take
